Greatest pillow protectors I have bought so far. They actually do work 100% against water, bugs, and allergens. They are super soft and don't make crinkly noises like others I have bought in the past. In fact they don't make any noises at all. I was not sure if they were waterproof or not but I accidentally spilled my water on the pillow while in bed the other night and sure enough they really are waterproof. My pillow was 100% dry. I love the fact they fit my puffy pillows just right. I used then on both my standard and queen pillows and both fit these. Very impressed with that. They are very easy to zip open and closed. First off I have read alot of reviews on this item. Just to be clear this is not a pillow "case" or intended to be one. You place this over your pillow then put your pillowcase over top of this. The product itself is amazing! Having a 10 yr old means splills. I can attest that this is indeed waterproof and if something spills on the zippered cover most things wipe right off but they can be washed as well. The zippers are of good quality and I couldn't be happier. Just remember the intent is to protect your expensive pillows and this product does the job 100%

Great pillow protectors. We recently got new pillows which were very expensive and the old protectors & pillows went in the dogs beds, so obviously we need to replace them. Very happy to know dust mites and other allergens will be kept at bay. We have 2 dog's which we allow up on the bed, so far so good with them. We don't want them on our pillows but you know when you're not home things happen. I will be ordering again for their pillows with confidence that their pillows will be protected as well. Quality zippers and not noisy like some waterproof cases. I sleep better now knowing that we are protected from the yucky stuff .

I bought this set of pillow cases for my small (but incontinent) older dog who I love dearly. Turns out older spayed female dogs often develop this problem. She pees in her bed when she's sleeping & doesn't even realize it. Never pees in the house, always asks to go out, but apparently now has little control over her bladder. So, these pillow cases are perfect to protect her bed from urine, since it can't really be washed (I sprayed the bed with Scotch guard) I stuff the pillow case with an old twin bedspread to make a mattress pad, and tuck inside her bed. When she pees on it, I simply take the stuffing out of the pillow case, wash/dry & re-stuff it. Having 2 pillow cases is perfect, since I can alternate the clean one while the other one gets washed. This way I'm not washing everything, except when she hits the blanket ;( but oh well...this is an improvement & much cheaper than waterproof dog beds.

I have had a trauma. My husband and son stayed at a Hilton Suites in Waco, TX and brought home bedbugs! It was the most disgusting experience of my life. Perhaps being under the tab made them feel more hidden (shudder-shudder). Whatever the reason, clearly they couldn't get past the tab-secure. Ha! Ha-ha! (yes, I've lost my mind a little over the infestation....)

I have a down & feather pillow that was leaking feathers. I bought this cover to prevent the leaking as well as to protect the pillow itself. I've been using this 1-2 weeks, and I've not found any escapee feathers. When I initially put the cover on, I thought it seemed loud, but I did not notice it at all once I actually used the pillow for sleeping. I thought about dumping water on my pillow to test the waterproof claim, but I decided I didn't want to wait for the case to dry. 🙂 I think the terry cloth would be a little rough to sleep on directly - I use a smooth cotton or flannel pillow case, depending on the season. The terry cloth does keep my case from slipping off. I bought a set of two; the second is in reserve. But the case seems durable, so I don't expect to need the second unless someone else in the family wants one!

This is my first review of a product of any kind. This pillow protector is perfect!!!! It is very soft, does not make crackling, crinkling noises and has no odor. My husband is a veteran of WW11, a proud Marine who served our country with honor. He is now catastrophically disabled so he has no control over bodily functions. No matter how wet he gets, this pillow cover keeps his pillows dry and odor-free. He is still a proud man - his body may not work as it did in his younger years, but his brain is amazing!!!! He is so happy that his pillows and the pillows used to prop him up with do not get wet and embarrass him:). What a blessing this is - thank you for such a fantastic product!!!

As others have mentioned these pillow protectors have a great outer material. It doesn't sound or feel like there's any plastic between my cranium and my $50 lights out sleep investment. Made the mistake of not protecting the previous one not realizing it wasn't machine washable. These are well worth the money and will certainly pay dividends especially considering the alternative is to buy a new pillow if your "the one" is even still available.

I purchased these for use in an upscale rental property. I'm picky about what I lay my head on. I really want to touch it, feel it BEFORE I purchase, but the price on these was excellent, so I held my breath and hoped for the best. Upon arrival I discovered I had made an excellent purchase. I haven't had these in use but for a week. Time will tell about their longevity, but I can tell you that right out of the package, they felt very nice. These are first rate pillow covers. I noticed a difference the first night I slept with them covering my pillows. All of the people claiming they shrank must be failing to follow the care direction, because they haven't shrunk on me ever and I've had some for 4 years of constant use. These 100% cotton AllerEase pillow protectors are thicker than the other cotton brand I tried (Allersoft), and have been very durable. I haven't had issues with the zippers, and they even protect the pillow if someone (not mentioning any names) happens to drool in her sleep. I've done it too... the point is our expensive Pacific Coast down pillows are protected--at the same time we're protected from the allergens and dander in the pillow. It just works. FWIW, I also dry clean all the pillows about every 6 months (I take half the pillows one week, let them air out for a few days, and then do the other half).
